The man was found after flames devoured the mobile home in Putnam County in the Post Road Mobile Home Park on Route 9 in Philipstown, around 3:30 a.m., Monday, Nov. 4.
Once the blaze was out, first responders with the North Highlands Fire Department found the man, who had been badly burned, Putnam County Sheriff's Department Capt. Lisa Ortolano confirmed on Wednesday, Nov. 6.
Police are waiting for autopsy results to positively identify the man and a final report from the fire investigation team for the cause of the fire.
